Types of Web Design

a. Realistic Design

Realism-based websites are always popular for their assertive approach to consumer’s specific needs. The design is rather based on the idea of increasing the conversion through the website. Most brands with single or few lines of products will use realistic design websites.

b. Minimalist

As the term itself points out, the minimalist design focuses on minimalism. The essence of a minimalist design lies on minimal yet assertive presentation. The design, media, fonts, and graphics are kept to a minimum.

The best advantage of using a minimalist design is that it’s easy to eyes and have a lesser bounce rate.

Flat Layout Design

Flat design is a simple graphical representation of objects common in the user interface (UI), software and Web design.

The flat design emphasizes minimum use of stylistic elements that give the illusion of three dimensions, hence, the presentation is kept to a minimum. Drop shadows, gradients, or textures aren’t a part of flat layout instead it uses simple elements, typography, and flat colors.

c. Isometric

An Isometric Design is a 3D drawing of an object. The isometric design presents an object in a 3D style in a 2D projection with graphics representing their real-life counterparts. In order for a design to appear three dimensional, a 30-degree angle is applied to its sides.

The isometric design uses what is called isometric projection to create a visual representation of a three-dimensional object in two dimensions. The term ‘Isometric’ comes from the Greek word meaning “equal measure.” It is a part of Skeuomorphic design, the design concept of making items represented resemble their real-world counterparts.
